You know how you pick up some phrase as a kid and you use it for the rest of your life? Well here's one of my go to lines (23 seconds in) from a Welcome Back Kotter episode that aired when I was 9. If you ever tell me an unfunny joke I just may use it on you!

ReplyDeleteI just watched that episode tonight and found this site while Googling to try to discover the origin of the line. Does anyone know whether it was first said on that show or if it was already in use at the time?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that it came from this episode but can't say for sure. All I can tell you is that it's stayed with me for nearly 40 years!
